Arbitration and other ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) methods have been incorporated into the justice delivery system of modern societies as viable alternative methods for the resolution of commercial disputes. It is therefore not novel to have a synergy between the National Courts in the various jurisdictions either through practice directions issued under the hand of the Chief Judge of the State or Chief Justice of the Federation or incorporated into the Rules of Court to encourage the resolution of disputes by Arbitration, Mediation, Adjudication and any other available alternative methods of disputes resolution.
